Properties and Indication
- Vitamin C plays an important role in immune stimulation and antibody formation and increases the resistance against infections.
- Vitamin C stimulates the heat-regulating center, so it is used during heat stress.
- Vitamin C is important for tissue repair and is involved in some oxidation – reduction reactions.
- Vitamin C is involved with the metabolism of many substances as iron, folic acid, phenylalanine and tyrosine.
- Vitamin C reduces mortality rates and increases resistance to diseases; it also improves egg production and egg shell quality in poultry
Dosage
Poultry :
- 0.5 – 2.0 gm / 1 liter drinking water.
Cattle & Sheep :
- 2 – 5 gm / head/day
