Composition

Each 100 gm contains:
Diclazuril                  0.5 gm

Properties

  • Diclazuril is an anticoccidial of the benzene acetonitrile group and has anticoccidial activity against Eimeria species.
  • Depending on the coccidia species, diclazuril has a coccidiocidal effect on the asexual or sexual stages of the development cycle of the parasite. Diclazuril treatment will only have limited effect on the intestinal lesions caused by parasitic stages older than 16 days. Treatment with diclazuril causes interruption of the coccidial cycle and of excretion of oocysts for approximately 2 weeks. This allows the animal to bridge the period of decrease of maternal immunity

Indications

  • A chemical anticoccidial for the prophylactic control of the coccidial species:
    • Broilers and pullets (up to 16 weeks): E. acervullina, E. maxima, E. tenella, E. brunetti, E. necatrix, E. mitis.
    • Turkeys (up to 12 weeks): E. adenoeides, E. gallopavonis, E. meleagrimitis, E. dispersa.
    • Rabbits for fattening and breeding: E. stiedae, E. flavescens, E. piriformis, E. magna, E. perforans, E. irresidua, E. media, E. intestinalis.

Target species

Broilers and pullets (up to 16 weeks), Turkeys (up to 12 weeks) and Rabbits for fattening and breeding

Dosage and Administration

For oral administration as a feed additive:

Broilers and pullets (up to 16 weeks):

  • 200 gm of Curacoxin /tonne feed

Turkeys (up to 12 weeks):

  • 200 gm of Curacoxin /tonne feed

Rabbits for fattening and breeding:

  • 200 gm of Curacoxin /tonne feed

Warnings & Precautions

  • Should not be mixed or used simultaneously with any other anticoccidia
  • Operators should wear suitable protective clothing

Contra Indications

Not for use in hens producing eggs for human consumption

Side Effects

Rarely severe scouring.

Withdrawal time

MEAT:

  • Broilers, replacement pullets and growing turkeys: 5 days
    Rabbits: 1 day

Storage Condition

Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place and used after opening for 40 days at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place
