Composition

Each 1 kg contains:
Maduramycin Ammonium       10 gm

Properties

  • Maduramycin is a monovalent glycoside polyether ionophore antibiotic. It induces an anticoccidial effect on the asexual forms (sporozoites, merozoites and falciform bodies) of the endogenous development of coccidia.
  • Its anticoccidial activity is due to disorder in ion metabolism (potassium and sodium in particular)

Indications

Broiler chickens:

  • prophylaxis against coccidiosis caused by Eimeria acervulina, E. mitis, E. necatrix, E.maxima, E. tenella and E. brunetti.

Turkeys:

  • prophylaxis against coccidiosis caused by Eimeria dispersa, E. gallopavonis, E. meleagrimitis and E. adenoeides

Warnings & Precautions

Should not be mixed with other anticoccidials.

Contra Indications

  • Layer replacement stock from commencement of egg laying.
  • Replacement stock to be housed on litter
  • Toxic to horses

Over dosage may cause in appetence

Meat:

  • 5 days

Storage condition

Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place and valid to 50 days after opening under storage temperature not exceeding 30°C.
