Each 100 gm contains:
Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate 62.59 gm
Equi. To Dihydrostreptomycin base 50.00 gm
Properties:
- Dihydrostreptomycin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic of the aminoglycosides family, which acts by disrupting the bacterial protein biosynthesis and the permeability of the bacterial membrane. Its spectrum is directed towards Gram-negative bacteria and mycobacteria.
- By the oral route, dihydrostreptomycin is poorly absorbed by the intestinal mucosa. It develops its activity inside the alimentary tract; it is eliminated intact by the feces.
Indications:
For Calves, Pigs and Rabbits:
Treatment of gastro-intestinal infections due to gram-negative bacteria sensitive to dihydrostrptomycin as:
- Colibaciliosis caused by E. coli.
- Campylobacteriosis caused by Campylobacter jejuni and C. coli.
- Intestinal chlamydial infection caused by Chlamydia pecorum and Chlamydia psittaci.
- Salmonellosis caused by Salmonella spp.
- Tyzzer’s disease caused by Clostridium piliforme.
Target species
Calves, pigs and rabbits.
Dosage & Administration
For Oral route in drinking water or liquid food.
Calves, Pigs and Rabbits:
1 gm Rediaterm / 10 kg body-weight / day for 3 days
Warnings & Precautions:
- This powder for oral solution is intended to be dissolved in water or liquid food, and cannot be used in its present state.
- Make animals drink abundantly during the period of treatment
Contra Indications:
Do not administer in case of known allergy to aminoglycosides

Storage condition:
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place and used after opening for 30 days under storage temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place and used immediately after reconstitution
