Tilmicosin phosphate: 28 gm
eq. to Tilmicosin base 25 gm

Properties

Tilmicosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic which acts by inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis through binding reversibly to 50S ribosomal subunit in susceptible organism. It has bacteriostatic action but at high concentrations it may be bactericidal. This antibacterial activity is predominantly against Gram-positive microorganism with activity against certain gram-negative organisms and Mycoplasma spp.

Indications

Chickens:

For treatment of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum

Dosage and administration

Chickens:

3 ml Tilmosol 25% / 10 liter drinking water / day for 3-5 days.

Warnings & Precautions

• Do not allow goats, swine, horse and other species access to drinking water containing Tilmicosin.

Contra Indications

• Not used for layers
• Should not be used with chloramphinicol or lincosamides.

Withdrawal time

12 days before slaughtering

Storage conditions

Store at temperature not exceeding 30°c and valid for 45 days after opening and keep out reach of children.
