Product description

Composition

Each 1 ml contains:
Atropine Sulphate                           600.00 μg
Equivalent to Atropine base      249.84 μg

Properties

  • Atropine, the prototypical muscarinic blocking agent, is an alkaloid extract from the belladonna plants.
  • Atropine sulphate interacts with muscarinic receptors of effector cells and by occupying these sites prevents Ach from affixing to the receptors area. Physiologic responses to parasympathetic nerve impulses are thereby attenuated.

Indications

  • Preanesthetic with volatile anesthesia in pet animal.
  • Antimuscarinic use (Drying secretions – Gastro- intestinal disorders characterized by smooth muscle spasm).
  • Antidote for Organophosphorus poisoning.
  • Hypersialism
