Composition
Each 100 ml contains:
Rafoxanide 3 gm
Properties
Rafoxanide acts by uncoupling oxidative phosphorylation of flukes, including reduced ATP levels, decreased glycogen content and accumulation of succinate.
Indications
- Rafoxanide is used as fasciolicide in cattle and, sheep active against adult and immature flukes aged 6 to 8 weeks and older.
- Rafoxanide is also active against gastrointestinal nematodes (Haemonchus, Bunostomum, Oesophagostomum, and Gaigeria species) and against the sheep nasal bot fly (Oestrus ovis)

Dosage and Administration
To be administered orally:
Cattle:
- 15 ml (Rafoxanide 3%) / 40 kg bodyweight repeat after 3 weeks.
Sheep:
- 2 ml (Rafoxanide 3%) / 8 kg bodyweight repeat after 3 weeks.
Warnings & Precautions
- Dairy cattle should be treated only during their dry period.
- In case of acute fasciolosis the administration might be repeated after 3 weeks to eliminate maturing flukes that may have escaped the earlier treatment
Contra Indications
- Rafoxanide is contraindicated in lactating animals whose milk and milk products are to be used for human consumption

Withdrawal time
- Withdrawal period: 60 days.
Storage condition
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C and used after opening for 50 days at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
